May 2011 -- Spring weather and mild temperatures provided the perfect backdrop for activities “on the square” in Fairbury’s downtown historic district.
Building owner David Lange was perched high on a ladder, as he continues to utilize a carefully-chosen palette color to bring out the ornate features of two of Fairbury’s oldest commercial buildings, located on the east side of the square.
Workers continue tuck-pointing the brick façade on the former Montgomery Ward building on the southeast corner of the square, now occupied by Livingston Enterprises.
A bench on the courthouse lawn was the perfect spot for this couple to sit and relax. “I just love to sit and listen to the sound of the train whistles as they pass through,” she said.
