2007 - Lambert
Vet Supply (LVS) is pleased to announce the grand opening of Main
Street Animal Clinic and retail center, a new urban style center
for animal health care. Located at 504 E St, in historic
downtown Fairbury, the clinic is a first for the company; combining
primary, limited-practice veterinary care for companion animals
with a retail outlet for their extensive catalog line of animal
care products and medications. Local customers can shop Monday – Friday,
9am – 5pm at the retail store for any of the items carried
by Lambert Vet Supply including premium pet foods, pet, equine
and livestock medications, vaccines and professional quality pet
grooming products. Knowledgeable staff members are available to
help with advice on over 7,000 products. The new store is also
a UPS drop point for anyone wishing to ship packages, utilizing
UPS’s Worldship system.
Dr.
Rick Kesler, LVS staff veterinarian, will preside over the new
clinic. A 1985 graduate of Iowa State University School of Veterinary
Medicine, Dr. Kesler is licensed to practice Veterinary Medicine
in 13 states and currently is a member of the American Veterinary
Medical Association. Dr. Kesler’s many years of dedication
and experience in the veterinary field allows him to provide unparalleled
care for pets and their owners. Main Street Animal Clinic is currently
offering the following services for companion pets: examinations
and consultations, eye, ear, dental and skin care, vaccinations
including rabies, lab tests including heartworm, feline leukemia
and urinalysis. Deworming, microchipping anal gland expression
are also available. X-rays and minor surgeries will be introduced
in the near future as well as a full-service grooming salon, to
meet consumer demand. "I am proud to be a part of Main Street
Animal Clinic, we are offering brand new facilities and caring,
comprehensive service with a soft touch," said Dr. Kesler.
Clinic hours are Monday-Friday, 9 am – 4 pm and
appointments can be made by calling LVS at (402) 729-8022.
The
Main Street Animal Clinic and retail store are part of the latest
expansion plan for Lambert Vet Supply. A combination of public
and private funding was used to renovate the downtown space, home
to the former Stage department store. The office space which houses
the LVS sales and marketing divisions also has a large conference
room for continuing education in which LVS employees sharpen their
product knowledge and are trained in industry-specific animal husbandry
practices.
The opening of the vet clinic/retail store marks
the successful completion of the latest economic development proposal
approved by the Fairbury City Council to foster economic growth,
job creation and retention.
