Great West Outdoors Taxidermy and Trading Post occupies two storefronts on the north side of the square in historic downtown Fairbury. Nebraska native, Vince Brown and his business partner Justin Ridgway create functional works of art from the antlers of deer, moose and elk. Antler chandeliers, antler table lamps, antler floor lamps, wall sconces are each crafted by hand from nature’s bounty, each piece an original.
Great West Outdoors also creates a variety of side tables and benches, and can custom-create pieces limited only to one’s imagination. Candelabras, centerpieces and knife handles, also crafted of antlers, can be found in this one-of-a-kind workshop and showroom. Great West Outdoors also tans hides and creates apparel from the furs of raccoons, coyotes, skunks and fox.
Great West Outdoors primarily sells its handcrafted antler pieces to retail customers online and wholesale to home décor stores across the nation and around the world, however, visitors to the store can also purchase items on the spot. Traveling? No problem! Great West Outdoors will carefully pack and ship your purchase anywhere in the world.
