For Tammy Cleary, what began as a hobby in her basement, has quickly evolved into a full-service party and event business.

Tammy began designing floral arrangements as a  young girl alongside her mother, who owned a flower shop. She was creating flower arrangements for friends and family for weddings and events in a small workshop in the basement of her home. Word spread and soon the workshop was too small, so Tammy moved her operations to the garage. Soon she was so busy with weddings and consultations, she had to quit her fulltime job in sales to focus on growing her business.

In 2009, with the help of economic development funds, low interest loans and private investors, Tammy began planning her next move – to a storefront in Fairbury’s downtown historic district. TLC Creations and Equipment Rentals opened its doors for business in November of that same year.

TLC Creations and Equipment Rentals is now the largest party supply and equipment rental store in southeast Nebraska. The 2,000 square foot retail store carries everything one would need to host a party or event – tables, chairs, arches, columns, candelabras, buffet service, glassware, linens. TLC also carries party supplies – cups, plates, napkins, streamers, banners, piñatas and balloons. TLC takes kids’ birthday parties to the next level with an inflatable bouncy house, popcorn and sno cone machines!

Tammy works hard to ensure that each and every client's dream becomes reality. She really gets to know her clients on a personal level and brings together their ideas and her experience to create a one-of-a-kind event that brings clients back again and again for all their party supply needs.

Tammy has more than 20 years of floral design experience. She also has certification in marketing, sales and communications and has worked as a manager and a customer service agent for many years.
